Home Spa Feeling – Sunday

Home Spa Feeling - Sunday

Good morning and happy Sunday!

I love Sundays – especially the ones not filled with plans. i want share my routine on weekend, I love sleeping in weekend and staying in bed with coffee and newspapers all morning. Sundays were made for relaxing and rejuvenating your body, mind and soul.

I am working with Ellos on a collaboration called A Fresh New Start (did you catch the first post earlier this week?). I am sharing some of my tips that I use to recharge my batteries and I have selected some of my favourite things from Ellos’s own collection; some lovely bath products from the series ‘Northern’ inspired by prothots nature, interior items and even a nice robe (my new favourite Sunday outfit!).

Home Spa Feeling 1
  • Sundays are perfect for slowing down and taking the time to do things that you don’t have time for on workdays. Like having a mini spa session at home.
  • This is something I love to on Sundays whenever I have the time.
  • I wish I had a bathtub! I don’t, but a long hot shower will do the trick too. Especially combined with some nice soap and a good body scrub.
  • Stay in there a little while longer than usual and put some nice relaxing tunes in the background. Close your eyes and pretend you’re at a real spa.

My skin is more dry this time a year. The cold is hard on the skin, but I’ve found that using a generous amount of a good body oil is the best way to moisturise. My best trick is to use it straight out of a hot shower while the skin is still hot and damp. It takes a little longer to dry than lotion does, but it’s totally worth it. And that is why Sunday is perfect for this project.

Home Spa Feeling 3

To keep the spa feeling going all afternoon I like to light a scented candle and relax with a good book or magazine. A long walk by the sea is the perfect Sunday afternoon past time followed by warm coffee or tea.

A few days ago a friend and I tried saunagus for the first time at the local swimming bath just around the corner from me. It was amazing! Very hot, but you feel so good afterwards. The essential oils combined with the heat feels so good for both body and mind and the ice-cold baths in between the sessions really get the blood flowing.

It’s definitely not the last time I do this and I would very much recommend that you try it if you ever have the chance.

Happy Sunday, guys x
