AND Every now and then I go on a shopping spree to the children’s clothing store Kidskartel in the Edisonstraat. Sometimes with a wishlist of clothes-that-are-still-missing for the coming season, other times for a festive outfit for a birthday, Christmas or other party. My daughters wore glitter skirts from Kidskartel this Christmas and there are already a number of summer dresses hanging there.
Second-hand and outlet brand clothing in Woensel West
In this trendy children’s store you will find second-hand (brand) clothing that looks like new, but also new clothing that has been bought from stores that are closing or from outlet shops. Kidskartel is part of the Woensel Westside Stores in Eindhoven Noord. This area with unique shops is not in the city center, but is definitely worth the (detour) drive, as I regularly do.
Feel good, do good
Kidskartel not only has children’s clothing from brands such as Molo, Pomp de Lux, Ebbe and Bellerose, you will also find good quality retro toys and ‘candy without junk’. At the large wooden table you can drink a cup of fresh cappuccino or order a toasted sandwich or lemonade for the children. The children can play with a cool wooden train track and other toys, while you browse through the clothing racks. Boys’ clothing and girls’ clothing hang separately, by size (from size 50 to 176). Second-hand and new mixed together. You can also bring in clothing yourself and if it is sold, you will receive 40% of the proceeds. Or you can donate it to charity. Part of the proceeds from the store goes to foster care, because owner Manon has a soft spot for that charity.
Advanced hair braiding workshops and more
In the lunch café you can also have high tea with your child or girlfriend. Regularly workshops are organized, such as basic and advanced hair braiding for dads & daughters (or moms & daughters), pimp your pancke parties and photo shoots. And every week there are themed children’s parties. There is enough space in the spacious shop of 150m2.
FeelGood Market
Manon and her partner Glen are the owners of this ‘recycle’ store. In the Kidskartel logo you can also discover their two children. Sustainable and social entrepreneurship in a hip way, is what they stand for. When there is FeelGood Market in Strijp S , every third Sunday of the month, Kidskartel can also be found there with a stall.
