AWhen you think of symbolic communication between African tribes, children’s clothing is not the first thing that comes to mind.Yet this is precisely what the new autumn/winter collection of NUNUNU is based on. For those who know the brand a little,
This may not come as a huge shock because NUNUNU is not a run of-the-mill brand with its striking prints and designs.
No standard prints
Expect circles, stripes and pyramids as symbols of ancient forms of communication between African tribes. International artist Shay id Alony, who is now collaborating with the brand for the second time, used this as the main inspiration for this collection. The new “skull” that you see on a number of garments is a robotic version of an ancient African mask, to make the connection with our futuristic world.
Suddenly a lot becomes clear, doesn’t it?
Nice and comfy
The designers of Nununu aim for minimalist designs, in which personality and comfort play an important role. This can be seen in the many comfi jogging pants, leggings and jumpsuits that our kids, understandably, do not want to exchange for those tight jeans.
Sand Storm
In this latest a/w collection, in addition to the recognizable grey, black and white, an innovative seasonal colour has also been chosen: Sand Storm – inspired by geometric pyramids. The special dyeing technique makes each garment in this colour unique.
Not just clothes
In addition to clothing for children from 0 to 14 years, the brand now also has other fun items for sale. For example, they have included a striking diaper bag, a rain cover, wellington boots, bedding and a lunch box in the collection. All of this is for sale on the website nununuworld Collection and at various online and offline points of sale.
